The Banks Association of Türkiye to Host Sustainability Disclosure Workshop with Global Experts

The Banks Association of Türkiye (Türkiye Bankalar Birliği) will host a free online sustainability disclosure workshop on 10 April 2025, from 9:00 to 12:30 Ankara time. The session will be facilitated live by experts from the IFRS Foundation, UNEP-FI, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) Initiative, and International Finance Corporation, offering interactive activities and a Q&A session with the standard-setters themselves.

This workshop presents a unique opportunity for financial institutions and stakeholders across the financial ecosystem to gain a high-level understanding of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (IFRS S1 and S2) launched by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in June 2023.

Ideal for listed and non-listed financial institutions, regulators, standard-setting bodies, companies servicing the financial sector, and advisory firms, the workshop is designed to bring report preparers, governance and strategy teams, risk managers, finance professionals, and sustainability experts onto the same page.

As part of a global capacity-building initiative, the IFRS Foundation, UN SSE, and IFC are delivering this training in partnership with UN SSE Partner Exchanges to support the consistent, global uptake of the new sustainability standards.
